Cassava Starch based Products

DADTCO produces two products: High Quality Cassava Cake (HQCC) and High Quality Cassava Flour (HQCF). The HQCC is used as an end product in the brewing industry where it replaces part of the expensive imported malted barley. As an intermediate product HQCC is used as raw-material for the production of HQCF. Besides HQCF, cassava cake can also be used as a raw material to produce Cassava Starch. Starch is produced from grain or root crops. It is mainly used as food, but is also readily converted chemically, physically, and biologically into many useful products such as: food (sugars), paper, textiles, adhesives, beverages, confectionery, pharmaceuticals, and building materials. Cassava starch has many remarkable characteristics, including high paste viscosity, high paste clarity, and high freeze-thaw stability, which are advantageous to many industries. The difference between cassava starch and HQCF is that cassava starch does not contain any fibers.
