Unique decentralized production process

DADTCO has a split processing production method that enables cassava root processing through a mobile factory (Autonomous Mobile Processing Unit) within 24 hours after harvesting. The AMPUs produce High Quality Cassava Cake (HQCC), a high quality semi-wet cassava paste, which is the essential starting raw material to a number of downstream related businesses. AMPUs are located in cassava production areas, while the primary factory, e.g. a flash dryer, brewery, starch plant etc., is located near a low-cost energy source. The production of HQCC at farmer’s level allows us to transport three times more dry matter content to the primary factory, than when roots would have been transported, while at the same time extending the shelf life to about one year. The AMPU moves to three to four sites, returning every year.
