The Austrian Development Agency (ADA) is funding DADTCO’s smallholder farmers program in Taraba State, Nigeria. The project aims to implement a small holder farmers program for the organization, training, yield increase and market linkage of 9000 cassava producers. The project the following components:

  • Supply chain development; organizing farmers into farmer groups, selection, multiplication and distribution of new disease resistant cassava varieties organisation of logistics for the root supplies.
  • Training of staff and smallholder farmers in Good Agricultural Practices in cassava farming according to Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM) practices.
  • Strengthen the distribution, marketing and sales network for the local market.
